TSCR is a multi-platform data protection and encryption system, developed from the original TimeCRYPT project line into a Premium Data & Secrets Protection Tool intended for users who seek not merely declarative encryption, but real, serious, and substantial protection of their data.
TSCR brings together local encryption, text, file and folder protection, Secret Vault, Secret Generator, a multilingual interface, desktop tray/shortcut access, licensing workflow, system information, automatic updating, and related security functionality into one practical environment.
In that way, TSCR represents a usable hybrid between an advanced data-protection tool and a personal secret/password management system.

*** 2. Basic operating logic ***
* 2.1 Key and active key *
The key is one of the most important elements of the TSCR system. Without the correct key, you practically cannot successfully decrypt your encrypted data.
The TSCR key is designed for a maximum length of 64 characters, that is up to 512 bits, which enables a very high level of practical protection when a strong and carefully protected key is used.
By default, the main/master key defined in the 🔑 Key tab is used. This key is the main working key of the application and should be protected with special care.
The active key is masked with asterisks in the status line at the bottom of the application. By clicking and holding that field, you can temporarily see its actual value.
* 2.1.1 Temporary key *
The temporary key is a separate working key that can be used instead of the main/master key for selected operations.
Its purpose is to enable separate working scenarios, for example encrypted communication with another person or work on a separate set of data, without changing the application's main key.
It is recommended to use the main key only for your personal data and files, and to use a separately agreed temporary key for exchange with other people.
* 2.2 Encryption profiles *
TSCR supports multiple encryption profiles, depending on the type of data, desired protection level, and practical needs.
• TSCR mode – a balanced native chrono-entropic profile for everyday use. It is universal and practical for smaller and medium text/data workloads.
• TOP SECRET mode - a PARANOID-LEVEL security profile that uses a multiple (x256 !!) expanded encryption set. It is intended for scenarios where protection has priority over speed and output size. As expected, it is the slowest, but for short texts it can have very favorable overhead.
• TSCR AES mode – a TSCR-customized AES-integrated profile for efficient work with larger data volumes and larger files. Before the AES layer, data is additionally prepared, processed, pre-encrypted, and hashed through the TSCR workflow, so it cannot be practically decrypted by a classic AES procedure alone without the TSCR AES decryptor.
* 2.3 .tscr files *
TSCR uses its own .tscr format for encrypted files and selected local application storage data.
When decrypting files, TSCR automatically recognizes the appropriate working profile, so the user does not have to manually know which profile was previously used to encrypt the file.
* 2.4 General operating principle *
The basic operating logic in TSCR is simple:
1. choose the appropriate tab or menu item
2. enter text, select a file/folder, or select a record
3. check which key and profile you are using
4. perform the desired operation
5. monitor the result and status in the tab, log, and application status line
NOTE: Keep the main/master key very carefully. Without the correct key, your encrypted data practically cannot be restored to readable form.
* 2.5 Application protection and controlled modes *
If the application and its engine are not sufficiently protected, the data a user is trying to protect with them cannot be sufficiently protected either.
For that reason, in addition to its encryption workflows, TSCR protects its own engine, runtime, local identity, protection state, and licensing workflow.
Approximately 98% of TSCR's own application and runtime code is protected by the original TSCR encryption and controlled code-loading system, which practically covers the application's complete key functional code.
Protected layers are decrypted and loaded in a controlled manner during operation instead of remaining permanently exposed as ordinary readable source code. Together with the TSCR black-box strategy, integrity checks, and additional protection layers, this model increases resistance to analysis, unauthorized modification, resetting, and application abuse.
TSCR can also operate in controlled states such as Trial, Demo, Recovery, or restricted access. These states depend on the license, identity, integrity, and local protection state of the application.
Demo mode is a controlled one-hour limited state with status and remaining-time display. After the Demo period expires, the application enters restricted-access state instead of resetting the Demo period when the application restarts.
These mechanisms are intended to preserve the expected runtime environment, reduce Trial/Demo abuse, protect the licensing workflow, and reduce risks caused by inconsistent or suspicious local states.

*** 3. Quick start ***
* 3.1 Encrypting and decrypting text *
1. Open the Text tab.
2. Enter the text you want to encrypt in the upper field.
3. Select the desired encryption profile.
4. Click ENCRYPT.
5. The encrypted result will be displayed in the lower field.
For decryption, the procedure is reversed: enter the encrypted text in the lower field and click DECRYPT.
* 3.2 Encrypting and decrypting files/folders *
1. Open the Files/Folders tab.
2. Enter the file or folder path, or select it using the file/folder selection button.
3. Select the encryption profile.
4. Click the appropriate button for encryption or decryption.
5. Monitor the operation flow in the log area of the tab.
For larger files, TSCR AES mode is usually the most practical choice.
When encrypting a folder, TSCR uses a controlled ZIP → encrypt workflow: it temporarily creates a ZIP archive from the selected folder, encrypts the resulting ZIP, and then deletes the temporary ZIP when the workflow completes successfully. To restore folder contents, decrypt the corresponding .tscr file and use UnZip if needed to extract the resulting ZIP archive.
The Files/Folders tab also includes utility functions: Hash, Zip, and UnZip. Hash is calculated for files. If you want a Hash for a folder, first create a ZIP archive of the folder and then calculate the Hash of the resulting ZIP file.
* 3.3 Quick work with Secret Vault *
1. Open the Vault tab.
2. Use New to add a new secret.
3. Select the secret type and fill in the required fields.
4. Save the record using Save.
5. For existing records, use search, type filtering, editing, copying, import, or export.
Secret Vault is intended for storing login data, accounts, banking data, cards, API keys, tokens, notes, and other personal secrets.
* 3.4 Quick work with Secret Generator *
Secret Generator opens through the SV-Gen button in Secret Vault, through available workflows, or using the internal application shortcut Alt+G.
You can select the secret type, adjust parameters, generate a new value, check its estimated strength, copy it, or insert it into the appropriate Vault field when the generator is opened in insert mode.
* 3.5 Quick purchase and license activation *
1. Open the License tab.
2. Select the desired PRO or LEGACY plan.
3. Select the activation mode that matches your situation.
4. Click the purchase button, then open the checkout directly or scan the displayed QR code with your phone.
5. Complete payment on the secure external checkout page.
6. Return to TSCR and follow the purchase and activation status.
Automatic activation is the default and recommended mode when you do not have an active license or the existing license has expired. After payment is confirmed, TSCR automatically continues the activation workflow.
Deferred activation is used when you still have a valid license but want to purchase the next one in advance. Keep the activation code and use it after the existing license expires.
Offline / manual activation is intended for a device without a direct internet connection. TSCR creates a purchase link and QR code that can be opened on another online device. After purchase, the license code and offline token are sent by email and entered into TSCR on the offline device. The Paste copied token button pastes the offline token directly from the clipboard.
IMPORTANT: Licenses do not stack. A new time-based license starts at the moment of successful activation, not on the purchase date.
If you selected the wrong plan or changed your mind, you can cancel the unpaid active purchase and then start a new one.
* 3.6 Quick TSCR-AI & new language *
Even with around 20 languages currently available in the selection list, your language might not be there. No problem.
1. Open the Language tab.
2. Enter the name of the language you want to use in TSCR.
3. Click Check/generate language.
4. The process is fully automated, runs in the background, and may take from several minutes upward, depending on your connection quality and current AI workload. You can follow the process in the log field if you want.
5. Continue using the application normally.
If you close the application, the process will automatically continue on the next start, complete, and notify you when finished.
* 3.7 Tray, shortcuts, and quick access *
TSCR Tray is designed for fast daily use without unnecessarily interrupting other work. The application can remain available in the system tray and be shown only when needed.
The simplest workflow is:
1. press F9 to show TSCR
2. protect or process text, a file, folder, or secret
3. press F9 again to return TSCR to the tray
4. continue your previous work
The tray menu also provides direct access to the application's main areas, including Text, Files/Folders, Secret Vault, Secret Generator, SysInfo, and other available settings and options.
On Windows, use the global F9 and Ctrl+F9 shortcuts to quickly show or hide TSCR. If another application occupies or intercepts F9, use Ctrl+F9 as an alternative.
On Linux/KDE/Wayland environments, the supported global shortcuts are F9 and Alt+F9. Their availability depends on correctly registered desktop integration and local shortcut settings.
If a global shortcut is unavailable, you can always show or hide the application through the TSCR tray menu.

*** 4. Tabs and main functional areas ***
The current order of the main tabs is:
Text → Files/Folders → Vault → Key → Multi-TSCR → Logs → SysInfo → License → Language → Help → About
* 4.1 Text *
The Text tab is used for encrypting and decrypting text content.
The upper field is used for entering text to encrypt and displaying the decrypted result, while the lower field is used for displaying encrypted text or entering text for decryption.
The encryption profile is selected in the middle: TOP SECRET, TSCR, or TSCR AES.
Copy, paste, and clear buttons make it easier to work with text fields and the clipboard.

* 4.2 Files/Folders *
The Files/Folders tab is used for encrypting and decrypting files and folders, as well as for utility operations on files and archives.
The built-in browser provides a folder tree on the left and a detailed file/folder view on the right. The right-side columns can be sorted and resized manually. Use the .. entry to move to the parent folder. The context menu provides Copy, Paste, and permanent Delete; deletion requires confirmation, while protected root locations cannot be deleted.
The user selects a file or folder, selects the encryption profile, and starts the operation. When encrypting a file, the result is saved as the appropriate .tscr file. When encrypting a folder, TSCR uses a controlled ZIP → encrypt workflow: the folder is temporarily archived into ZIP, the resulting ZIP is encrypted, and the temporary ZIP archive is then deleted when the workflow completes successfully.
When decrypting, TSCR restores the decrypted file or archive. If a folder was previously encrypted, the decrypted result may be a ZIP archive that can then be extracted using the UnZip function. Empty files are supported and are restored as valid zero-byte files.
The log in this tab displays the operation flow, selected mode, execution time, output path, and possible errors.
For larger files, folders, and larger data volumes, the TSCR AES profile is usually the most practical choice.
For text, compact secrets, short payloads, and smaller files, native TSCR profiles can be highly efficient: practical tests have shown that TSCR, and in some compact-payload scenarios even TOP SECRET TSCR, may achieve roughly 10–20x faster encryption with lower output overhead compared to AES-based processing, despite modern CPU-level AES acceleration.
The utility Hash row allows calculating checksum/hash values for the selected file. Supported hash algorithms available in the application include SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA3-256, BLAKE2b-256, BLAKE2b-512, MD5, and SHA-1. Hash is not calculated directly for folders; first create a ZIP archive of the folder, then calculate the Hash of the resulting ZIP file.
The Zip and UnZip functions are used for quickly archiving files/folders and extracting ZIP archives directly from TSCR. They are utility functions and complement, but do not replace, the primary TSCR crypto workflow.

* 4.3 Secret Vault *
Trezor Tajni / Secret Vault is a secure place for storing all important user secrets.
Secrets are stored in a local vault protected by TOP SECRET TSCR encryption, so even in the case of unauthorized computer access or theft of the vault file, an attacker does not obtain usable data, and your secrets remain only your secrets.
The Vault enables structured storage and management of different types of sensitive data:
• Login – username, password, e-mail, URL, and note
• Account – broader account-related data
• Bank – bank account, IBAN, SWIFT, bank, and related data
• Card – payment cards, holder, number, expiry date, CVV, and PIN
• API Key – API keys, tokens, and technical secrets
• Note – secure notes
• My Secret – personal secrets for special purposes
• Other – mixed and specific records
The left side of the Vault is used for filtering, search, and record overview, while the right side is used for viewing and editing the details of the selected record.
Main actions include:
• New – add a new secret
• Edit – edit the selected record
• Delete – delete the selected record
• Copy – when a concrete detail field on the right has focus, copy that field; otherwise copy the complete structured record
• Refresh – reload the view
• SV-Gen – open Secret Generator
• Import – import secrets from a file
• Export – export the vault or its data
The Online Vault option represents a server/database-backed backup and migration workflow for secrets. When it is available and active, data in the database should be stored in encrypted form, preserving the core TSCR principle: the secret must not be available in an untrusted environment.
* 4.3.1 Secret Vault import and export *
Import is used to transfer secrets from an external file or from a previously exported TSCR vault.
The import workflow includes:
1. file selection
2. format autodetection or manual format selection
3. preview of items to import
4. data validation
5. import confirmation
Import also checks exact-content duplicates. If duplicates are detected, TSCR offers Skip duplicates, Import all, or Cancel. Import and export dialogs start in the application's tscr_data folder.
Export is used for migration, backup, or transferring secrets into another context. Before export, carefully check the format and output path of the export file.
IMPORTANT: If export produces an unencrypted JSON/CSV file, treat that file as highly sensitive. After migration or use, it is recommended to encrypt it or delete it.
* 4.3.2 Secret Generator / SV-Generator *
Secret Generator / SV-Generator is an integrated tool specialized for easy generation, estimation, and security-level checking of different types of secrets.
It can be used standalone, directly from the Secret Vault workflow, or through the internal application shortcut Alt+G. When opened from the Vault, the generated value can be inserted into the appropriate Vault field.
The generator supports multiple controlled output types:
• Passwords
• Passphrase values – dictionary-based, with localized and multilingual support, including LangMIX mode for combining words from multiple languages
• PIN codes
• Tokens
• API keys
• UUID values
• Usernames
• WiFi passwords
• Test cards
• Short secure phrases
TSCR Estimator displays an estimate of secret strength, entropy, and approximate crack time for a generated or manually entered value. The estimate is informative and heuristic, but useful for practical orientation.

* 4.4 Key *
The Key tab is used for working with keys, login password, and basic application settings.
In this tab, the user can:
• view the active/old key
• set a new main/master key
• enable or disable login at application startup
• change the login password
• check the user ID
• set the username and e-mail
• enable a temporary key
The current key and current login password are masked by default. Click and hold their fields to reveal the real value temporarily, using the same behavior as the Active key field in the status bar. The new key and new login-password fields use an eye button to show or hide the entered value.
* 4.4.1 Settings, login, and keys *
The application itself is protected by a credentials and login system. It is recommended to keep login at startup enabled, because it preserves the basic security concept of the application.
The main/master key is the primary key for protecting your data. The temporary key is an additional working key for separate scenarios, exchange, or special operations.
The user e-mail is important for licensing, activation, support, and possible user procedures.
NOTE: Change the key carefully. Data encrypted with one key cannot be correctly decrypted with another key.

* 4.5 Multi-TSCR *
The Multi-TSCR tab is used for multiple encryption of the same text.
The user enters text, selects the desired number of encryptions and the encryption profile, and the application generates multiple independent encrypted versions of the same input.
This tab is useful for specific scenarios, testing, demonstrating output differences, and experimenting with TSCR profiles. Results intentionally remain accumulated across runs so they can be compared; use Clear output to remove them manually.

* 4.6 Logs *
The Logs tab displays activities, events, and important application messages.
The log is useful for checking operation flow, diagnosing problems, reviewing operations, and understanding what happened during encryption, decryption, import/export operations, language work, or other functionality.

* 4.7 SysInfo *
The SysInfo tab displays extended system and diagnostic information.
It includes system, hardware, network, and user information, with additional blocks for meteo bulletin, AIR-Quality & allergens data, and GEO information when available.
This tab is primarily informational and diagnostic. It can help analyze the environment in which the application runs, check the system, network, resources, and related information.

* 4.8 License *
The License tab combines plan selection, purchase, active-purchase tracking, license activation, Legal Documents, and support for TSCR development.
It displays the available PRO and LEGACY plans, price, Purchase ID, selected activation mode, checkout link and QR code, purchase and activation status, active plan, validity date, and user ID.
TSCR uses a fast and simple hybrid licensing workflow with automatic, deferred, and offline/manual activation. Available options adapt to the application's current network state.
Trial and Demo are not the same state. Trial is intended for a valid new user/device when the active release policy allows Trial access. Demo is a controlled one-hour limited-access mode that may be used for evaluation, testing, VM/sandbox environments, recovery situations, suspicious local states, or other non-regular runtime contexts.
After the Demo period expires, TSCR enters restricted-access state instead of resetting the Demo period when the application restarts.
* 4.8.1 License, purchase, and activation *
Plan selection
TSCR supports the time-based PRO-03, PRO-06, PRO-12, and PRO-24 licenses, as well as the LEGACY license. The current price of the selected plan is displayed in the application before purchase starts.
Activation modes
• Automatic activation – the default and recommended mode. It is intended for a user who has no active license or whose existing license has expired. After payment is confirmed, TSCR automatically creates and completes the activation workflow.
• Deferred activation – intended for a user who still has a valid license but wants to buy the next one in advance. After purchase, the activation code is delivered by email and used only when the user wants to activate the new license.
• Offline / manual activation – intended for a TSCR device without a direct internet connection. The application creates a checkout link and QR code. The link is opened on an online device, and after purchase the license code and offline token are sent to the same user email address. Both values are entered into TSCR on the offline device.
Payment from a computer or phone
For every active unpaid purchase, TSCR displays a checkout link and QR code. The open-link button uses the checkout on the current computer, while scanning the QR code opens the same checkout on a phone or another device. Scanning the QR code does not create a new purchase.
Validity start and non-stacking licenses
IMPORTANT: TSCR licenses do not stack and are not automatically added one after another. A new time-based license starts at the moment of successful activation, not on the purchase date.
If you already have a valid license and want to buy the next one in advance, use Deferred activation and keep the received activation code until the existing license expires.
Purchase ID and active purchase
A Purchase ID identifies one specific purchase workflow. TSCR allows one active purchase at a time. While it is active, the plan and activation mode are locked to preserve process consistency.
If you selected the wrong plan, changed your mind, or do not want to continue yet, use Cancel purchase. The unpaid purchase is closed, after which you can select another plan and start a new purchase with a new ID.
A paid purchase cannot be cancelled with that button. For questions about a paid purchase, refund, or another commercial status, review the current Terms of Sale in Legal Documents and contact TSCR support when necessary.
Purchase and activation status
TSCR follows the purchase and activation status and displays it in the License tab. After payment is confirmed, the application continues the workflow corresponding to the selected mode. If the internet connection is temporarily lost, the application's core local functions remain available, and the online purchase status is checked again when the connection becomes available.
Keep the Purchase ID, activation code, and offline token, when present, until the corresponding workflow is fully completed.

* 4.8.2 Legal Documents *
The Legal Documents page provides access to the current TSCR documents directly in the application.
Available documents include:
• EULA
• Terms of Sale, including refund and cancellation rules where applicable
• Privacy Policy
• Security Notice
• Donation Policy
Click a document name to display its current content. EULA acceptance at first launch and the accepted document version are recorded through the TSCR legal workflow.
Legal Documents govern application use, purchases, privacy, security limitations, and support/donations. If a shortened explanation in Help differs from the corresponding legal document, the current legal document text governs.

* 4.8.3 Support TSCR *
The Support TSCR page enables voluntary financial support for further project development.
The Support / Donate button opens a secure external support page. The displayed QR code leads to the same page and allows it to be opened quickly on a phone.
A donation is not a license purchase, does not extend an existing license, and does not unlock additional functionality. Rules for voluntary support are available in the Donation Policy document.

* 4.9 Language *
The Language tab is used for selecting the active interface language, checking available languages, and starting the TSCR-AI workflow for adding a new language.
In this tab, the user can:
• select one of the available languages from the list
• confirm the interface language change
• enter the name of a language that is not yet available in the application
• start checking or automatic generation of a new language
• follow AI process status, checkpoint/resume flow, and generation log
• receive a new passphrase dictionary for the generated language when that option is available
To change an existing language, select the desired language from the list and click the confirmation button. The application then applies the new language to GUI texts, menus, statuses, tooltips, Help/About documentation, and other supported interface elements.
When TSCR is offline, already installed languages remain available for selection. TSCR-AI language generation and online language updates are unavailable until the connection is restored.
To add a new language, enter the language name in the AI field and click Check/generate language. You can enter the language name in Serbian, English, or in the target language itself, or use a standard language code, for example sv, ko, pt-BR, and similar.
If the language is already available, the application may offer selection or activation of the existing language. If the language is not available, TSCR-AI starts the process of generating the requested language and the corresponding passphrase dictionary.
The TSCR-AI process is fully automated and requires no further user involvement, while all application functions, except starting another new language generation process, remain available as before.
You can follow the generation flow through the log and status display. The process may take from several minutes upward, depending on the internet connection, AI provider availability, language object size, and current service load.
If the application is closed, TSCR uses checkpoint/resume logic, and starting the application again allows the process to continue. When the process is complete, the user receives a notification and can use the newly generated application language.
AI-generated languages are practically usable, but they should be treated as AI-generated drafts until they are reviewed by a human.
TSCR appreciates any help, suggestions, and corrections that can contribute to better syntactic, semantic, and stylistic optimization of existing or newly generated TSCR interface languages.

The About tab contains a representative product description, the TSCR identity, key technologies and functionality, the protection concept, authorship and licensing information, and the development direction of the future TSCR Data & Secrets Security Ecosystem.

*** 5. Menu, tray, and quick options ***
The main menu at the top of the application provides quick access to the most important functionality.
The Options menu leads to the main working areas: Text, Files/Folders, Secret Vault, Secret Generator, key change, Multi-TSCR, logs, and system information. Separate menu items lead to licensing, language selection, Help, and About.
TSCR Tray allows the application to remain available while using minimal workspace. By clicking the tray icon or selecting a tray-menu item, you can show/hide the application or directly open the most frequently used TSCR areas.
For the fastest show/hide workflow, use F9: show TSCR, complete the required protection or processing, press F9 again, and continue your previous work. On Windows, Ctrl+F9 is also available, while Linux/KDE/Wayland environments use Alt+F9 when the shortcuts are correctly registered.
Standard keyboard shortcuts for controls may also be available, together with the internal Alt+G shortcut for Secret Generator in the relevant workflows.

*** 6. Safe-use recommendations ***
• Do not disable login at application startup without a clear reason.
• Protect the main/master key carefully. Without it, you will not be able to decrypt data that depends on that key.
• Do not use the same key for every situation. For exchange with other people, use a separately agreed temporary key.
• The main key, temporary keys, and important licensing data can be recorded in Secret Vault.
• For particularly sensitive data, use the profile that matches the required protection level.
• For larger files and folders, consider using TSCR AES mode.
• Use Secret Vault as the central place for passwords, API keys, tokens, banking data, cards, and other important secrets.
• Export the Vault only when there is a real need. Delete or additionally protect unencrypted export files as soon as migration or transfer is complete.
• If you create a folder ZIP archive or receive a decrypted ZIP archive, treat it as a sensitive file for as long as it remains on disk, especially when it contains confidential data.
• Use hash/checksum functions to verify file and archive integrity when you need an additional check that a file has not changed or become damaged.
• If you use Online Vault when it becomes available, the TSCR principle remains the same: secrets should be stored in encrypted form so they are not available in an untrusted environment.
• Start purchases from the TSCR application and use the checkout link or QR code displayed for the active purchase.
• Do not share an activation code, offline token, or other licensing data with unauthorized persons.
• If you have a valid license and are buying the next one in advance, use Deferred activation. Licenses do not stack, and a new time-based license starts on successful activation.
• If you started the wrong unpaid plan, cancel the active purchase first and then start a new one.
• Check license status regularly, because an expired or invalid license state may restrict available functionality.
• Use only the official TSCR website, release/update channels, and verified application packages.
• Do not attempt to manually reset Demo, Trial, licensing, or local protection data. The application may enter Recovery or restricted-access state if the local identity, integrity, or protection data are inconsistent.
• Do not rely on restarting the application as a way to reset Demo access. Demo is a controlled time-limited state connected to the runtime protection workflow.

What is TSCR?
TSCR is a multiplatform system for data protection, encryption, secret management, and secure-value generation.
Which encryption mode should I use?
For everyday work, TSCR mode is usually the most practical. Use TOP SECRET for scenarios with higher protection requirements. For larger files and folders, TSCR AES is usually the most practical choice.
What is a temporary key?
A temporary key is a separate working key that can be used instead of the main key for isolated scenarios, exchange, or special operations.
What is Secret Vault?
Secret Vault is a local encrypted vault for passwords, accounts, cards, banking data, API keys, tokens, notes, and other personal secrets.
What does Secret Generator do?
Secret Generator creates passwords, passphrases, PIN codes, tokens, API keys, UUID values, Wi-Fi passwords, usernames, test cards, and short secure phrases, together with an estimate of their strength. It can also be opened with Alt+G.
Can TSCR encrypt folders?
Yes. A folder is encrypted through a controlled ZIP → encrypt workflow: TSCR temporarily creates a ZIP archive of the folder, encrypts it, and deletes the temporary ZIP when the workflow completes successfully. To restore the content, decrypt the .tscr file and use UnZip when needed.
What are Hash, Zip, and UnZip used for?
Hash calculates a file checksum/hash for integrity verification. Zip creates a ZIP archive of a file or folder, and UnZip extracts a ZIP archive. For a folder hash, first create a ZIP and then calculate the hash of the resulting ZIP file.
What is LangMIX?
LangMIX is a passphrase-generator mode that combines words from multiple language dictionaries to create more varied and practical passphrases.
Is Vault export safe?
Export can be useful for migration and backup, but an unencrypted export file must be treated as sensitive data. Delete it or protect it additionally after use.
What should I do if I forget the key?
Without the corresponding key, TSCR cannot practically decrypt data protected with that key. Record and protect the key carefully, preferably also in Secret Vault.
How do I change the application language?
Open the Language tab, select the desired language, and confirm the selection. When AI functionality is available, you can also start generation of a new language.
Is generating a new application language charged separately?
No — TSCR provides this functionality without an additional charge for all license plans.
How can I quickly show or hide TSCR?
On Windows, use F9 or Ctrl+F9. On Linux/KDE/Wayland, use F9 or Alt+F9 when the shortcuts are available and registered. The TSCR tray menu is always available as an alternative.
Which activation mode should I choose?
Use Automatic activation as the default and recommended mode when you have no active license or the current license has expired. Choose Deferred activation when buying the next license in advance. Use Offline/manual activation when the TSCR device has no direct internet connection.
Can licenses be stacked or added one after another?
No. TSCR licenses do not stack. A new time-based license starts only when you successfully activate it.
Does a license start on the purchase date?
No. A time-based license starts at the moment of successful activation. For an advance purchase, use Deferred activation.
Can I pay with my phone?
Yes. An active unpaid purchase displays a QR code. Scan it with your phone to open the same checkout and complete payment.
Does the QR code create a new purchase?
No. The QR code contains the same checkout link displayed in TSCR.
What if I selected the wrong plan?
If the purchase has not been paid, click Cancel purchase. After cancellation, you can select another plan and start a new purchase.
What is a Purchase ID?
A Purchase ID identifies one specific purchase workflow. Keep it until the purchase and activation are completed.
How do offline purchase and activation work?
TSCR creates a checkout link and QR code on the offline device. Open them on an online device, complete the purchase, then enter the license code and offline token sent to the same email address into TSCR on the offline device.
Where can I read the rules for use, purchase, and privacy?
Open the Legal Documents page in the License tab. It contains the EULA, Terms of Sale, Privacy Policy, Security Notice, and Donation Policy.
Does a donation replace a license purchase?
No. A donation is voluntary support for TSCR development and is not a license purchase, extension, or activation.
What is Demo mode?
Demo mode is a controlled one-hour limited application state. After the Demo period expires, the application enters restricted-access state, and the Demo period is not reset by restarting the application.
Where can I see application status?
Status is displayed in the status bar, the relevant tab, and the Logs tab.
