Protecting the Tool That Protects Your Secrets
TSCR supports the values of open knowledge, collaboration and the open-source community wherever openness does not compromise the protection model. However, its core encryption engine, protected runtime and internal security mechanisms will not be publicly disclosed.
This decision follows one of the central TSCR principles:
User data and secrets cannot be sufficiently protected if the application itself and its engine are not sufficiently protected.
For that reason, TSCR protects not only user data, but also its own engine, runtime, local identity, protection state and licensing workflow.
TSCR is also intended to become more than a single desktop application. It represents a technological foundation and framework for a broader Data & Secrets Security Ecosystem—a future family of tools, services, interfaces and platforms designed to work together around privacy, encryption and direct user control.
Every contribution helps support continued development, testing, documentation, infrastructure and the creation of that wider ecosystem.
