Installation
Windows — Microsoft Store
The recommended installation method for Windows 10/11 is the official Microsoft Store release:
Install TSCR directly through Microsoft Store. Microsoft Store provides the trusted Store installation workflow and manages delivery of Store updates.
Windows — Standalone Release
Typical standalone installation flow:
• Download the current Windows release package.
• Extract the archive.
• Run the TSCR executable.
• Set your login password and personal/master key.
• Start protecting your files, text, and secrets.
Linux — Standalone Release
Typical standalone installation flow:
• Download the current Linux release package.
• Extract the archive.
• Run the TSCR executable.
• Set your login password and personal/master key.
• Start protecting your files, text, and secrets.
MacOS — TEST Builds
Experimental TSCR v2.5.1.0 builds for macOS are now available for public testing:
These are early runtime-test builds and are not yet final production macOS releases.
The application bundles are currently ad-hoc signed and not yet Apple Developer ID signed or notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper may display a security warning on first launch.
How to test
• Download the build matching your Mac architecture.
• Extract the ZIP and open TSCR.app.
• If macOS blocks the application, use Control-click / Right-click → Open → Open or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
• If macOS still reports that the application cannot be opened because of quarantine, run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine TSCR.app
open TSCR.app
Please do not disable Gatekeeper globally.
If the application starts successfully, feedback is especially welcome regarding:
• startup and general GUI behaviour,
• system / architecture detection,
• system / architecture detection,
• encryption and decryption,
• Multi-TSCR,
• Secret Vault / macOS Keychain integration,
• tray/menu behaviour and general desktop integration.
macOS 13 or newer is recommended for these test builds.
If you test either build, please report the Mac model, macOS version, architecture, and any errors or unexpected behaviour.
Additional platform-specific builds and mobile versions are planned as part of the TSCR development roadmap.
Exact package names and version numbers depend on the current release.
